Delete your QDD account
This page explains how to delete your QDD (青豆丁) account and what happens when you do. QDD is developed and operated by CrumbQuest LLC. The rules are the same ones set out in the privacy policy and the terms of service; this page only lays out the steps on their own.
Deleting from inside the app
Open the app and go to Profile → Security → Delete account, then confirm with your account name and password. Once you confirm, the account is signed out on every device immediately.
What happens next
The account is deactivated for 30 days first. That grace period exists so an accidental deletion can be undone: if you change your mind, write to contact@qingdouding.com within the 30 days and support will restore it.
Once the 30 days pass, the account and every record it holds — students, families, lessons, payments, statements, and the archived copies of emails sent to parents on your behalf — is deleted from the database.
Two things sit outside the database and need saying plainly. First, we back up each tutor’s data to Microsoft OneDrive nightly, and the account stays in those backups through the grace period, so the last backup containing your records is dated around the day the account is deleted. Each dated backup is kept for up to 180 days, then deleted; deleted files then sit in Microsoft’s own recycle bin for a further 30 days before they are gone. Second, the record of any support visit to your account is kept — it records what we did. Deleting without the app
If the app is uninstalled or you cannot sign in, write to us instead: from the email address registered on the account, send a message to contact@qingdouding.com with the subject “Delete my account” and your account name in the body. Support will reply to that address to confirm it is you before acting, usually within a few business days. From there it is the same as deleting in the app: a 30-day grace period, then deletion.
