Add it to your home screen
QDD is a web app, so there’s nothing to download from an app store. Once it’s on your home screen it behaves like any other app, with its own icon and no browser address bar.
In-app browsers can’t install it. Open this page in Safari or Chrome first.
If you tapped a link inside another app like Instagram, Facebook, Slack or your mail app, you’re in that app’s built-in browser, and it has no “add to home screen” option. Use its menu to open this page in your real browser, then follow the steps below.
iPhone and iPad
Use Safari. It’s the reliable one. Other iPhone browsers don’t always offer this.
- Open app.qingdouding.com
- Tap Share at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up)
- Scroll down the sheet and tap View More
- Find Add to Home Screen in the list
- Tap Add at the top right. You can rename it first if you like
Android
Chrome and Samsung Internet both do this. The wording differs a little, but it’s the same thing.
- Open app.qingdouding.com
- Open the menu (“⋮” or “≡” at the top right)
- Choose Install app, or Add to Home screen, whichever it offers
- Confirm
On a phone without Google Play services you’ll get a shortcut rather than a full install. It still opens full screen, but the icon may carry a small browser badge and it might not show up in your app drawer. If a bar offering to install pops up at the bottom of the page, tapping that is quicker.
Desktop
In Chrome or Edge, open app.qingdouding.com and look for the install icon at the right of the address bar. Click it, then Install. You’ll get its own window instead of another tab.
Once it’s installed
- Name: the icon says QDD. On iPhone you can change it as you add it.
- Updates: nothing to do. You get the latest version every time you open it.
- Removing it: press and hold the icon and delete it, same as any app. Your data lives in your account, so nothing’s lost.
